Hi all,
My name's Mike, I'm a producer for a small production company based in Bournemouth, called Big Brush Films.
If you're local, you can maybe work for us, we're looking for cast.
The site address is;
http://www.geocities.com/bigbrushfilms/
I also have my own forum on here, but it's been kinda slow, it's linked to the site, but it's early days anyway.
Great to see so many film makers out there doing their own thing, the only way to go.
The forum address is;

Lemme know what ya think, and if you have improvements for the site.
Anyhoo, keep on truckin'

Downloading trailers now...
welcome
My biggest advice regarding your site would be to get a .com or similar. Geocities = evil
It simply looks more pro to have www.bigbrushfilms.com ... just my 0.05?

hey there,
I see you found the other place I gatecrashed. I'd agree with Christians view on Geocities though and a .com does look better. I looked through some of the site yesterday and I'll probably get back to you on your forum later...

Woah! Way more important than a .com address is to fix the colour scheme on the website.
If your really serious about this film thing, I'd strongly advise you to get a more proffesional looking site. Although your content is good, you should never use that many colours-the whole thing comes off looking cheap and nasty. Blue, white, black, yellow, red-god no.
Also your logo reminds me strongly of the blair witch one.

I'll look at the colour scheme, ya may be right there, I guess it is kinda garish.
I'll take out the red.
Regarding getting a dot.com, and a better looking site. Problem is, I'm doing the site thing on my own, and I don't know HTML, and don't intend to learn it.
My primary role is as a producer, at the moment, I'm securing locations, getting props, and (trying) to sort out the logistics of the shoot.
The site is basically a 'taster', although it looks very basic there's loads of stuff to download.
Once we're up and running full speed, and generating some kind of income, I'll definitely sort out a professional site.
But I appreciate the feedback, it's all good stuff.

dont know HTML? use frontpage or something similar. I know the basics of HTML but i never use it anymore, with frontpage i can do everything i can do with HTML twice as fast and then a whole lotta other stuff i couldnt previously do. Basicly it allows you to concentrate on the look and layout and not the coding.

Yes it's a big improvement alright. Good job. Although you've gone to the other extreme and it is now darker than most of the vampire sites I've come across.
Why everyone on geocities goes for black backrounds I don't know.
